It seems that the summer is over!

Hello everyone,

Hope you have all enjoyed a great summer?

Having done all I set out to do during July and August, I have simply had the loveliest time.

The summer has been filled with friends, family, far away places in the sun and some holidays closer to home (beautiful, despite the British weather!)

Enjoying reading books I never thought I would get around to, working, playing and entertaining in the garden and generally messing around with the kids……all summer long!

And now with only a few days until they are all back to school and our first event of the season looming, the last few days have been filled with packing stock, photographing the new range, and labelling uniforms ( in that order!)

Talking of the new range….it arrives next week and we are all very excited about the styles that we have been working on for the last 6 months.

With cosy hoodies, boyfriend cardigans as well as the popular classics in many great shades, we are sure that you will love the new collection.

The summer is definately over…….suppose we had better start looking forward to Christmas!

What have we been up to?

Its been a while since our last blog , so we thought it was time to bring you up to date with all that we have been up to and all the latest news.

Having started the season with a fabulous Country Living Fair in Islington, we moved onto a very wet, very cold and very muddy Badminton Horse Show.

So much mud!!!

This was our first equestrian event and boy, did we receive a baptism of fire! (or should I say rain!). It was a great experience and we got a real feel for what you equestrian types love to wear. We will be far more prepared next time and look forward to meeting many of you again at The Burghley Horse Trials in September.

The Spirit of Summer Fair was an altogether different show and hugely successful, despite the fact that London moved from winter to summer, overnight in terms of temperature, and were amazed by how much of the new stock you bought!

Our edge to edge cardigan has proved a real winner this season, prompting us to repeat it in 5 new shades for the Autumn. Keep an eye on the website for new arrivals from August.

So with the weather getting warmer and Cashmere sales finally slowing down, our last event of the season will be The Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh from 24th to 27th June. We are so looking forward to coming up to Scotland and have a great selection of classics for the summer months as well as a fantastic clearance rail on offer.

As we move into July and August, the girls at C&C are all looking forward to a hot summer at home with the children (or Grandchildren) and for our long awaited holidays and a little relaxation after a hectic spring/summer season.

I am very much enjoying the garden at this time of year and am planning to spend as much time as I can planting, pruning and watering ( I hope!) as well as entertaining friends who I have somewhat negleted over the busy winter months.

Exciting news is that we are planning to launch our brand new look blog to coincide with the new seasons product launch at the end of August. Look out for recipe ideas, garden clippings, and style tips to name but a few,but first………………… lets all have a great summer and enjoy some happy holidays to remember.

We chose one of the coldest and dampest of February days to shoot the new Spring brochure and website images!

Luckily our location was the prettiest and cosiest Cheshire cottage and the warmth of the Aga, the many cups of tea and the delicious cup-cakes kept our spirits high.
